The Lincolnshire
Aviation Society meets on the third Thursday of each month in the Cellar
Room of the Unison Club, Beaumont Fee in Lincoln. Meetings commence at 8.00 PM,
although members usually assemble in the bar beforehand.
As in previous years
the programme for 2007 featured interesting talks and presentations on a wide
variety of subjects, both by guest speakers and the society's own members.
Although not yet complete 2008's programme is again looking interesting, with
further details being added as they become available. In addition to this varied
programme the society holds a light hearted annual quiz and photographic
competition.
The society also
organises visits to sites of interest for its members. Recent visits have
included Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield Airport and Marshall Aerospace at
Cambridge. Each November the society usually
participates in the Air Britain hosted Aircraft Recognition Competition at the
RAF Museum, Hendon.
